Time Splice offers grand 360 degree 'frozen in time' camera moves.
If 360 degree capture is overkill or outside your budget, perhaps a Mini Time Splice™ effect will suit.
Until now, the broadcast industry attempts to manipulate a single 2D image in 3D space using a 3D camera move in a compositing program. The move is typically a tracking shot across a field of images.
Using just 10 cameras a dynamic result covering up to 60 degrees is obtained to enhance the popular 3D camera move - instead of moving across, it is now possible to 'fly thu' a scene!
More cameras can be added to increase the virtual track.
15 cameras could cover a full 90 degrees.
Notice how the models faces are viewed from the side when the camera is tight and tracked in, and in the end shot when the camera pulls out and is wider we see the models from straight on - there is a smooth perspective change that reflects the virtual camera track..
The 2D 'cardboard cut out' has been eliminated creating a more 'realistic' and convincing effect.
Ideal for integration with 3D broadcast graphics for promos, or as a stand alone piece for the internet .
Very quick to set up compared to a full 60 camera array array and similar in production and cost to a regular quality commercial still photography shoot.
This Time Splice Mini camera system is separate to the existing 60 camera rig.
The Mini rig allows a quick download of images which are fully stabilised on the fly - so you see a stitched preview in a minute! High resolution rendering, chroma key and time stretch (to almost any screen duration) is performed in a separate post production session.
Please note that retiming is a complex task that is content dependant - so, some shots may work easily while others may be difficult or not work at al, therefore it is necessary to discuss with Mark regarding the shot as a part of pre-production.l
System as used for the opening titles of a new drama series 'Offspring'.

21 plates were post produced
and re-timed to 8 seconds (200 frames).
