3D business cards were created for The Working Pro - a newsletter for the Australian Institute of Professional Photographers.
********************************************************************************

After consulting with Peter Eastway, I decided that the only affordable way to introduce 3D to the masses was to talk about it and include a 3D business card.
A 3D business card merely entertains the idea of 3D - what Time Splice offers in a large print is SO much more, with enormous depth compared to a tiny card. So, if you see it please understand that there is much more on offer.
Looking outside of my familiar 'in house' printing territory, the propspect of offset printing was indeed an arduous one.
Three thousand
3D cards were required - very different from the hand crafted 'one offs' that I offer.
Anyway, it was accomplished and many photographers have inquired about a capture system to offer their clients 3D!
If you missed out on a card or desire another and some 3D glasses so you can view other images from the web site, then click here to contact me.
In an effort to assist awareness on how to capture 3D for a 3D lenticular print, a recent flash video was created as well as a new print to add to the folio.
The video indeed represents a real shooting scenrio!

Up until now, prints have been on display 'here and there' to gauge a reaction, and explore expressions of interest with an expectation to commercialise the process.
Photographers and entrepreneurs from Australia and overseas have all been inquiring for 'more'.
The one defining appreciation from photographers is that prints have to be done via the photographer and cannot be reverse-engineered or copied - 'they have to come to me to get it done!'
Comments from several photographers have been, 'absolutely fantastic', 'outstanding', 'gob-smacked', and 'how the hell do you do that?!'
(Post release note 06/2010 - the camera system is no longer offered until further notice)
Like most products, there have been developments - the original system was great, however, a bit over engineered for the task.
A supply chain issue for some critical components meant that I had to rethink some of the technology.
It is now simpler, has a reduced price point that starts at around AUD$2.5k, and goes up to AUD$8k for a full system (excluding a computer, which you may already have).
I assume that everyone should like that - the 3D revolution is available for less than the cost of a single high end camera!
Camera system configuration is flexible. I am not interested in being a re-seller for components - a camera system is a means to an end. You may already have many components that you can use (tripod, dolly, MultiMax, cameras etc).

This art installation must be one of the most grueling shoots ever!
My full 60 camera kit was set up in a 360 degree circle with a waterfall.
I can confidently accomplish a winning result for a multi camera array shoot in one to three takes, however, the client usually aks for variations, and generally between ten to thirty takes per shot are usual.
This most recent shoot was not too difficult, however, the client wanted many variations and eventually I did one hundred and ninety two shots in the one day! I figured that it is possibly a world record for any camera array shoot anywhere in the world.
Previous to that was a ninety nine take shoot in two hours with David Beckham in Spain.
All went well.

Technology to make the 60 camera 10D system 'near real time' is almost finished!
Soon you should be able to take a shot and with in one minute see a fully stabilised result!

Recently, The Working Pro published a link to YouTube regarding a comical and 'sad, but true' animation.
There are more out there as well - here a couple that I thought were amusing....
